Every Hammerheads athlete receives a full tuition scholarship and all required training gear at no cost.
Registration & Insurance: The only remaining requirement is a USA Wrestling insurance membership. While the standard fee is $70, LBWI is providing a $50 subsidy for our first group of registrants—reducing your out-of-pocket cost to only $20 on a first-come, first-served basis.
Note: This insurance provides full coverage through August 31, 2026. A standard annual renewal will be required on September 1st for those continuing into the Fall/Winter season.

LB Hammerheads Wrestling is a premier youth program of the Long Beach Wrestling Initiative, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our board is 100% volunteer-based, ensuring all resources—including scholarships for mandatory USA Wrestling memberships and gear—go directly to our athletes. LBWI is an independent organization and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or an agent of the Long Beach Unified School District or LB Poly Athletics; our programs are open to all student-athletes regardless of school enrollment.
